THE CONCEPT:
FICKLETS was created out of a need to offer a versatile, fashionable and fresh alternative to the lackluster and ordinary kid’s eyeglass frames in the marketplace. Founder, creator and mom Ros Guerrero wanted to offer a way to enhance the rather basic, plain and uninteresting frames typically found in the kid’s eyeglasses market. She wanted to infuse a sense of style, color and fun, have the affordable option to update her daughter’s old glasses, while maintaining the best vision care for her daughter. Her "vision" brought her to evolve kid’s eyeglass frames by adding a fresh perspective… from there, FICKLETS was born.
THE INSPIRATION:
Meet Gem (photo), fourteen years old with special needs, the inspiration behind FICKLETS. Gem has worn glasses since the age of six and like most kids, wasn't fond of wearing her eyeglasses, until FICKLETS. She now fashions her eyeglasses with a little more "style-attitude" and enjoys wearing her FICKLETS tremendously. Gem and her mom Ros also hope FICKLETS will help change the negative image others have about eyeglasses.
